Settling Tax Errors

Companies may make accounting errors that could have negative tax consequences for you. We will work on your behalf to correct these mistakes.
After a client mistakenly sent a 1099 form to our consultant instead of our office, we reached out to the client’s invoicing team to resolve the error—before the IRS mistakenly attributed the payment to our consultant. After receiving no response to our multiple attempts at contact, the Faculty Connection team contacted the client’s legal representative, who was then able to forward our concerns to their CFO. Shortly thereafter, the company issued a revised 1099 to both our client and our accounting team, resolving the error and ensuring that the IRS had the correct paperwork moving forward.
